First ask: do you need a place tonight or a plan for later?
When you need women’s sober living in Cocoa or Rockledge, the most important search detail may be your date—not the name of the city. A woman who needs housing tonight and a woman planning a transition several months ahead need different next steps. State your required move-in date early so you do not spend time pursuing a home that cannot meet it.
Brevard Grace House opens January 15, 2027 and is not currently open. It is accepting inquiries for future admission, not providing emergency shelter or immediate beds. This article offers planning help for women in Cocoa and Rockledge; it does not identify a Grace House branch in either city or promise a placement there.
For an immediate need, use the right kind of support
If you are without a safe place to stay, call 211 to ask about current local housing and community resources. Explain that you are in Brevard County, need an option for an adult woman, and give the date you need help. Ask whether an organization provides emergency shelter, recovery housing, clinical care, or referrals—those are different services. Eligibility and availability must be confirmed directly; a listing is not an available bed.
If you are leaving treatment, tell your discharge team that a future-opening residence cannot cover your immediate housing need. Ask them to help coordinate a confirmed alternative and continuing care. You can consult FARR’s recovery housing information when checking certification claims, but certification alone does not establish an opening, available placement, or suitability for you.
For immediate danger or a medical emergency, call 911. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988. Housing admissions, 211 information services, and online directories are not substitutes for emergency medical assessment or withdrawal care.
Check what “FARR certified” means for the actual home
Brevard Grace House is going through the FARR Level 2 certification review process and will be a FARR Level 2 certified recovery residence once certified. It is not currently certified. When you compare it with other options, keep that pending status separate from homes that already hold a valid certificate.
Ask each residence how to verify its certification, which property the certificate covers, and whether your referring provider requires a particular status before admission. A related men’s residence, an administrator’s credential, or an expected approval does not certify a separate women’s home.
Grace House’s model includes live-in management, weekly house meetings, shared responsibilities, and weekly group coaching. It is a recovery residence, not a clinical treatment facility; those supports do not replace licensed medical or mental health care.
If you are planning ahead, compare a complete transition
For a potential move after January 15, 2027, consider your employment, outside appointments, prescriptions, and support network together. Women connected to Cocoa or Rockledge should obtain the confirmed house address and test their actual trips before deciding a placement is practical. Consult current transit information if you will not have a car, and do not assume the home supplies transportation.
Grace House expects at least 32 hours per week of employment, education, volunteering, or approved productive activity. Ask how your proposed routine fits the written house expectations, including meetings, curfew, and medication procedures. Exact visitor and curfew rules should be confirmed with admissions rather than inferred from another residence.
The cost is $195 per week, all-inclusive, plus a one-time $100 move-in fee. Utilities, Wi-Fi, laundry, kitchen and coffee bar access, stocked household supplies, and weekly group coaching are included. Every resident receives a welcome care package with body wash, a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and snacks. Children cannot currently live with residents.
- Separate the date you need housing from a hoped-for opening
- Confirm the home’s current certification status
- Obtain admissions approval and the actual address
- Review payment timing and written house terms
- Keep outside care and transportation arranged
Take one clear next step today
If you need housing now, contact your care team or 211 about current options and confirm any proposed placement directly. Our Community Resources page also lists organizations such as Circles of Care and Recovery Connections of Central Florida; ask each organization what help it currently offers rather than assuming it supplies housing or guarantees a referral.
If you are planning for the Grace House opening, call or text (407) 758-0958 and name Brevard Grace House. Ask about future admission, the FARR review status, and whether your intended timeline fits. An inquiry is not a reserved bed. Keep medical records out of text messages and ask for an appropriate secure process if documents are needed.
